Opening the Plugin Host Utility
The plugin contains three parts:
- The Plugin Host Utility
- The IntelliTrack integration (i.e., IntelliTrack for QuickBooks Desktop; IntelliTrack for QuickBooks Online; IntelliTrack for E-Commerce)
- The IntelliTrack IntelliTrack Host Plugin Service
The Plugin Host Utility runs as a separate Windows application.
- The IntelliTrack plugin is activated from the utility.
- The IntelliTrack Host Plugin Service runs continually in the background. It must be running in order for the plugin to share data between QuickBooks and IntelliTrack.

Upon initial use of the plugin, you must set the login credentials. Once the login credentials are set, the Plugin Host Utility runs automatically and continually unless you shut it down.
Important: We recommend setting a dedicated user for the Plugin Host Utility. This will facilitate troubleshooting and transaction tracking with the Plugin Host Utility via IntelliTrack application history.
Follow the steps below to open and log into the Plugin Host Utility.
- From the computer Start page, select Programs or Apps > IntelliTrack > IntelliTrack Plugin Host; or Programs > IntelliTrack > IntelliTrack Plugin Host.
- The IntelliTrack Plugin Host Utility appears. A security alert also appears. Select Allow Access to close the security alert and allow the Plugin Host Utility access to your computer.
- The first time that you open the Plugin Host Utility, the Plugin Host Settings form appears onscreen. You must enter the Login Settings at this form before logging into the utility and using the IntelliTrack QuickBooks Plugin.
- In the Login Settings portion of the form, enter your IntelliTrack login credentials. In the Username field enter your IntelliTrack username. In the Password field enter your IntelliTrack password.
- Click the Test Login button.
- If you are able to log into the utility, a success message appears. You are ready to activate the plugin. If you are unable to login into the utility, a login failed message appears. Re-enter your login credentials and try again. If the login continues to fail, contact IntelliTrack tech support via email: support@intellitrack.com or via phone: 888.583.3008, option 6.
- When the login is successful, either click the Save button to save your login settings and exit this form or set up email notifications (see see "Plugin Host Utility Email Notifications").

After setting up the login information, activate the plugin in order to start using it; see "Activating the Plugin".
